The importance of an inspector being active in association like NACHI and WAHI [Wisconsin Association of Home Inspectors] shows their understanding/educational level not only locally but nationally, all striving for perfection.
Requirments by The State of Wisconsin
- Pass state's exam [Rules and Regulations/Do's and Don'ts]
- Pass National Inspection Exam [A computer down loads 200 questions picked randomly from a base of 2000 national building regulation questions: Timed two hour exam]
- Pass a criminal and financial background check
- Maintain a minimum of 20 hours ongoing educational credits per year
